Meet JCI's Ten Outstanding Young Person Award

During the week Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nigeria revealed the names of the 10 young Nigerian professionals in their different fields who merited the awards of this years' 2017 edition of JCI TEN OUTSTANDING YOUNG PERSONS  awards, after months of announcement to the public to nominate and various stages of screening, selection and voting, which brought the long list of nominated individuals of about 160 to 29 and finally to 10 exceptional young individuals.
Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a membership-based non-profit organization of young active citizens aged 18 to 40 in more than 100 countries who are dedicated to creating positive change in their communities. 

JCI Nigeria is the first youth organization of its kind in Nigeria and was established in 1957 with members across every state of the federation.  Since 1983, JCI has formally recognized several young individuals who have excelled exceptionally in their various fields and created a positive change in their communities through it's annual Ten Outstanding Young Persons ( TOYP) award, thereby encouraging other young adults to become active and create a change.


On Saturday August 26th, Junior Chamber International Nigeria will be celebrating the 10 JCI TOYP 2017 Award recipients at a lavish ceremony in Lagos. The award night would be done alongside with a anniversary gala to mark the 60th year of JCI’s presence in Nigeria. 

The Nigerian Honorees will later be presented for the global JCI TOYP Awards alongside other honorees from over a hundred JCI countries, out of which the final list of Ten global honorees will be selected and awarded in Amsterdam, Netherlands in November 2017.
