Hello...

Today makes it about a week since the heavy down pour, on 27th of August 2017 Sunday, which has lead to unprecedented floodings in different parts of the world.

Right here in the country Nigeria, the incessant rainfall didn't spare the people of Benue state (makurdi), as it fell for about 3 days straight, over 15000 were sacked out of their homes.
The flood left in its wake tears, as many of the affected persons lost virtually all their valuables. The storm also washed away roads and drains, thereby cutting off some inhabitants off from the main town. The hardest hit areas are Achuasa Media Village, Wadata Rice Mill, Behind Police Zone Four, Larozone Nyiman Quarters, Judges Quarters, Gboko Road, Logo, New Bank Road, Abu, Shulua Road and the neighbourhood of Radio Benue, where all the houses in the community, including the transmitter of the state-owned radio station, were submerged.

Another occurrence was in Texas Houston.
"Tropical Storm Harvey"(famously christained) occurred in Houston Texas as rising water chased thousands of people to rooftops or higher ground and overwhelmed rescuers who could not keep up with the constant calls for help.
The incessant rain covered much of Houston in turbid, gray-green water and turned streets into rivers navigable only by boat. In a rescue effort that recalled the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, helicopters landed near flooded freeways, airboats buzzed across submerged neighborhoods and high-water vehicles plowed through water-logged intersections. Some people managed with kayaks or canoes or swam.

India which is used to regular flooding during monsoon season from June to September, especially in Mumbai, where millions live in shantytowns with poor drainage. Still, this year's floods are unusually severe.
More than 1,200 people have died across India, Bangladesh and Nepal as a result of flooding, with 40 million affected by the devastation. At least six people, including two toddlers, were among the victims in and around India’s financial capital.

The government in these different countries are working tirelessly to help these victims in all ways possible.
As we go to our various places of worship today, please let us all remember to put these people in prayers. Even as you read this post, please pray for them, both the ones mentioned and not mentioned.
It's the least we all can do.
