"I thought you would never ask"
Donald said, rubbing his palms into each other.
He walked towards the rear window and ordered me to come, following the direction of his hand I had finally seen the real beauty he admired, she was a perfect beauty to behold, and Donald might have just been lucky.
'I watch her every morning, every minute I get the chance to, I watch her like it's my new job..."he said wearing a large smile across his face.
It was a thing of beauty to watch my friend Donald fall in love, he had finally found someone he could love.
"Did she request you draw her?" I asked.
"No it's her birthday tomorrow, the drawing is a surprise and my way of expressing my feelings"
"So how long have you been close to her"
"Just a month we just have frequent chat,Now and then for the 6month she has being here" he said, making his way into the kitchen.
He was all cheerful, it was like one of those nights where he won his first award, tomorrow was all that mattered to him.
He came back with a cup of hot coffee in his hands, he gave a wry laugh and tap on my shoulder, all his plans were in play and ready for action.
***
It was past 10pm when the sounds of silence had taken me from my precious sleep, the sounds were getting closer and closer, Donald immediately put on his glasses to observe what was going on.
He had dashed out of the room like a force of wind blew him away from the window, he ran out of the house, as I followed behind without knowing what was going on.
The ambulance had dropped right in front of Sandra house, people had gathered round the scene, I and Donald stood looking to see what had happened, just when the medical team rolled out a body covered in sheets.
Donald ran towards it maybe to clarify what he had in his head, he couldn't stop the tears, they rolled out like that of a baby.
It was like the time didn't move, everything stopped to make sense in a split second, everything moved in slow motion, everything but the lifeless body of Sandra Pryce.
The End
